Air Balance Report

If you are worried about the efficiency and performance of your heating and air conditioning system then you should learn about what air balancing can do for you.

In its simplest form, air balancing is the process of adjusting and testing HVAC systems in order for them to deliver the right amount of air to the rooms it goes out to. This includes several tests to determine the performance of your heating and air conditioning systems. A few of the items used are air balancing hoods (measure air from each grille), manometers (measure system pressures), and hygrometers (measure temperature and humidity).

An improperly balanced HVAC system is normally 30% to 50% low on airflow. A certified technician looking at this can determine its performance and adjust accordingly to decrease the percentage and increase the airflow flowing from the equipment to the rooms it vents to.

Don't be fooled into thinking that replacing your furnace or air conditioning unit is the only way to lower your utility bills. An NCI Certified Professional considers the entire system and is qualified to test, diagnose, and repair your ducts as well as your equipment. By doing so, every room in your home or building will be as comfortable as possible with the equipment you have available.
